WG4 Sustainability
WG4 takes into account the environmental, economic and social impacts of biofuel development in Europe. It aims to define transparent sustainability indicators for biofuels, particularly in relation to the technical research that is a focus of Work Groups 1 to 3.
WG4 addresses a number of aspects of sustainability including:
WG4 is currently contributing to consulations on sustainability of bioenergy feedstocks and biofuels use and production and Europe, as well as proposals for a European Industrial Bioenergy Initiative and revision of the EBTP SRA/SDD.
The work of WG4 takes into account a range of biofuel sustainability initiatives on a local and gloabl scale.
